Hindustani Classical Music concert held

Kakching, March 24 2025: A Hindustani Classical Music concert featuring performance on vocal, instrumental and percussion was organised by Kha Manipur Hindustani San-geet Mahavidyalaya, Kakching at the auditorium of Grace Cottage Cultural and Educational Development Foundation (Grace Cottage Academy) in Kakching Louyai Lambi, on Monday.

The event was attended by Art and Culture Department state coordinator Shamurailatpam Nabachandra Sharma (Naba Volcano) as the chief guest and Grace Cottage Academy vice principal Kshetrimayum Daniel as the guest of honour.

Kha Manipur Hindustani Sangeet Mahavidyalaya treasurer Yambem Satya Singh and president Yengkhom Nilachandra presided over the programme.

In his keynote address, Mahavidyalaya secretary Naorem Rameshwar informed that the concert was organised as part of a series of events under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the National School of Drama.

The performances included Classical Dhrupad (Vocal) by Kshetrimayum Kabita Chanu and Takhellambam Indu Leima, tabla solo performance by Yumnam Prakash and Classical Solo (Vocal) by Kshetrimayum Rupashya.
