Ex-Minister Ksh Biren appointed JDU state chief

Imphal, June 21 2022: Lok Sabha MP and Janata Dal (United) president Lalan Singh has appointed former CAF&PD minister Ksh Biren Singh of Lamlai as the president of Janata Dal (United), Manipur State Unit while ex-MLA Dr Kh Loken Singh and retired IAS O Nabakishore have been appointed as general secretary organisation and general secretary administration respectively.

Party's national general secretary Afaq Ahmad also advised the party's state unit for formation of an executive committee of the state unit and conduct of election of new office bearers.

It may be mentioned that consequent to resignation of the state unit president days after the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election, JD-U national president Rajiv Ranjan had on May 6 announced dissolution of party's Manipur unit.
