Judicious use of water, proper testing stressed

A Health Mela was jointly organised by the district administration and District Health Society, Senapati at Primary Health Centre, Tadubi, on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, SDO/BDO, Tadubi Block T Shyamkumar Singh highlighted that the fair was organised to provide health check-up to people of Tadubi sub-division while informing that different departments made their facilities available to the public during the Health Mela.
Dr Pfokreho Pfoze, CMO, Senapati, during his speech, urged the people to consume wholesome food and not processed food.
The CMO also talked about the importance of telemedicine and obtaining health cards provided by the government to people belonging to BPL.
He also gave awareness on Communicable and non-communicable diseases.
On the other-hand, Senapati PHED EE S Lohrii Mao stressed the need for judicious use of water and asked all not to waste water when not in use.
The EE also called upon people of the region to bring sample of the water they are consuming for testing in the lab to find out whether it is drinkable and get certified.
He also displayed Field Testing Kit during the programme.
Adaha P Chopullo, CDPO, Mao-Maram, in her speech, highlighted the benefits of Pradhan Matri Matru Vandana Yojana, nutri-garden, consumption of locally available organic vegetables and fruits, and the importance of Anganwadi workers for informal pre-school education of children in the age group of 3-6 years.
Facilities provided during the programme included medicines, Obs & Gynae, dental, eye, Covid vaccination for all age groups, routine immunization, health ID generation, Aadhaar mobile linkage, CMHT, PMJAY, stalls (multi discipline), NCD (including diabetes, BP, cancer), and screening.
Officials from PHED, ICDS, education, social welfare and medical departments, and village chiefs, village chairmen/secretaries, village authority members from different villages attended the programme.
A free medical check-up was conducted after the formal programme.
