KCDO celebrates 29th Foundation Day

The 29th Foundation Day of Kongpal Chanam Leikai Development Organisation (KCDO) was celebrated today at its grounds in Pukchaopat, Imphal East.
As per a release issued by KCDO, the Foundation Day celebration began with a Handing Over Ceremony of a newly installed open gym facility.
Attending the event as the chief guest, N Biren Singh, former Chief Minister, formally handed over the gym to Kshetrimayum Joychandra Singh, president of KCDO, and his executive team for public use.
Notably, the open gym facility installed by the Chief Minister's Martial Arts Academy, Government of Manipur, was virtually inaugurated by N Biren Singh on December 27, 2024.Addressing the gathering, N Biren Singh said, "This is a historic moment that emphasises the need for a healthy society.
Health infrastructure like this open gym provides vital spaces for all age groups to engage in physical fitness and adopt healthy lifestyles".
Joychandra Singh, on behalf of the residents of Kongpal Chanam Leikai, expressed gratitude for the gym as well as for the blacktopping of the road from Ayangpali to the KCDO complex, completed under N Biren Singh's leadership.
"Our community shall remain ever grateful.
We hope to see your dynamic leadership guiding Manipur once again", added Joychandra Singh.
The Foundation Day celebration was also graced by dignitaries, including Nahakpam Indrajit Singh, former MLA of Kshetrigao AC; Chingsubam Ashok Meitei, MD, Meitei Construction Pvt Ltd; Thangjam Keshorjit Singh, former president, KCDO; Chakpram Dhanabir Singh, former general secretary, KCDO; and Dr Homen Thangjam, Associate Professor, IGNTU, Regional Campus Manipur.
As part of the celebration, the dignitaries planted tree saplings in the locality.
The day concluded with a musical concert, bringing together community members in a spirit of joy and unity.
