Kumbi Block Congress Committee dissolved

Kumbi Block Congress Committee (KBCC) office bearers have announced dissolution of the Committee over Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president N Loken's alleged decision to allot party's ticket for Kumbi assembly constituency to a person who is not recognised by the KBCC.
Addressing a press meet held at KBCC office near Kumbi Bridge on Wednesday, KBCC secretary (Administration) L Bishorjit Singh stated that the decision was taken due to differences between the Committee and MPCC and to denounce indifferent attitude of the MPCC president despite repeated appeals.
The Committee had been supporting intending candidates N Ibobi and N Ibohal but unfortunately N Loken is inclined to hand the party ticket to a person who is not a member of KBCC, he maintained and condemned the indifferent attitude of the MPCC president towards KBCC.
The press conference was also attended by KBCC president N Bhagirath, vice presidents N Chandra and S Tomba, Assembly Youth Congress Committee Kumbi president L Purellakpa, vice president N Ramdhon, Minority Cell president Md Sanayaima and other workers.
Meanwhile, intending candidate of Congress from Kumbi AC Ningombam Ibobi of Ithai announced his resignation from primary membership of Congress along with withdrawal of his application for party ticket in support of KBCC's decision.
He also extended his support to intending candidate of Congress from Kumbi AC N Ibohal Meitei if the latter is allotted Congress ticket.
