Imphal, September 17 2024:
As part of the "Seva Pakhwada" campaign in celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 74th birthday, chief minister N Biren inaugurated a "Pictorial Exhibition" at BJP's Nityaipat Chuthek office, highlighting the life and achievements of the Prime Minister.
Besides CM Biren, the function was also attended by BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda, cabinet ministers and MLAs.
In his address, chief minister N Biren praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a dynamic leader, and treasured the opportunity to work under his leadership.
He noted that while the good deeds of great leaders are often recognised after their passing away, Prime Minister Modi is being honoured while still alive.
Chief minister Biren explained that instead of celebrating Prime Minister Modi's birthday with cakes, the Seva Pakhwada campaign was launched to involve the government in various societal activities.
As part of this initiative, the Swachhata Hi Seva - 2024 campaign has been introduced to promote cleanliness throughout the country.
He also highlighted the Prime Minister's commitment to Manipur, including the approval of the Inner Line Permit (ILP) system in the state.
Biren mentioned that efforts are underway to collect biometrics and identify illegal encroachers from neighbouring countries, with border fencing projects and the removal of the Free Movement Regime (FMR) already in progress.
Additionally, a blood donation camp was organised at JNIMS by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Manipur Pradesh as part of the Seva Pakhwada campaign.
