992 tested, 55 found positive for Covid-19

Imphal, June 16 2021: A total of 55 persons out of 992 tested turned out to be positive for Covid-19 during another round of aggressive mass testing drive carried out by Imphal West district administration on Wednesday.

According to a report by the district administration, 10 people tested positive in Loitang Khunou; 3 in Lukram Leirak; 11 in Kanmong; 5 in Bijoygovinda; 1 in Langol Game Village; 1 in Langol Ningthou; 2 in Lalambung; 1 in Nganapithong; 1 in Airport; 1 in Langthabal Kunja; 2 in Naoremthong Samusang; 9 in Singjamei Waikhom Leikai; 1 in Mayang Imphal PHC and 7 in Yumnam Leikai.

However, no positive cases were detected during similar tests conducted in Moirang Hanuba Leirak, TG Higher Secondary, Naoremthong Yumnam Leikai, Sougaijam Leirak, Heinoupok, Tendongyang, Moirangkhom Loklaobung and Keishampat.

According to a statement released by DC Imphal West Th Kirankumar, the last day of the mass aggressive testing on Thursday will be held at Kwakeithel Lamdong Leikai Community Hall; Mongsangei Pillow Library Community Hall; Patsoi Part 4 Primary School; Takyel Khongbal Maning Ima Lairembi Sanglen; Ngairangbam Awang Meitei Shanglen and Tendongyang Community Hall.
