Chief Justice leads relief effort at relief camp

Imphal, May 15 2025:
Chief Justice D Krishnakumar accompanied by two Judges of the High Court of Manipur distributed essential relief items to the IDPs at Moirang Khunou Maning Leikai Relief Camp in Bishnupur district today.
Justice A Bimol Singh, who is also the executive chairman of Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) and Justice A Guneshwar Sharma interacted with the IDPs along with the Chief Justice during the visit, said a statement issued by S Mangaleibi Devi, deputy member secretary, MASLSA.
The distributed items include jumbo boxes, double folding mosquito nets, torch lights with lamps, diapers, buckets, mugs, infant milk, sanitary pads, soap, detergent, mosquito coils, as well as sports and recreational items such as footballs, volleyballs, skipping ropes, toys, and clothing and shoes for children.
A free medical camp was also organized for the relief camp residents, in collaboration with the Directorate of Health Services, Manipur and the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Bishnupur.
The visit was attended by several dignitaries and officials, including Ojesh Mutum, Registrar General, High Court of Manipur; Alek Muivah, member secretary, MASLSA; N Keertichand Singh, chairperson, Bishnupur DLSA; S Brajabihari Singh, chairman, Bar Council of Manipur; Y Nimolchand, president, High Court Bar Association of Manipur, P Tomcha Meitei, president, All Manipur Bar Association along with other officials.
From the district administration, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur; SDO, Moirang and CMO, Bishnupur, along with doctors and other officers were present.
