Governor, others greet on Id-Ul-Zuha

Imphal, July 08 2022: Govenor La Ganesan, Meipak Ningthou Committee, All Manipur Ethnical Socio-cultural Organisation (AMESCO) and Manipur People's Party extended their greetings to the people of Manipur, especially the Muslim community, on the occasion of Id-Ui-Zuha which falls on July 10.In their messages, the Governor as well as the organisations said that Id-Ul-Zuha meaning 'festival of sacrifice' signifies the spirit of sacrifice rising above the narrow barriers of one's ego and self-interest for the good of all.

The festival promotes tolerance, harmony and good will amongst different communities, they said and wished the people of Manipur that with the celebration of Id-Ul-Zuha, the state be showered with peace and harmony.

On the other hand, Sadar Bazar Jame Masjid Managing Committee informed that the Eid Congregation prayer of Id-Ul-Zuha will be performed at Sadar Bazar Jame Masjid, Paona Bazar at 8:15 am on July 10.In a release, Managing Committee secretary Abdus Salam informed that the Eid Congregation prayer will also be performed at Golapati Masjid Achouba at 7:45 am, Hafiz Hatta Masjid at 8 am and at Babupara Masjid at 8:30 am .
