Imphal, August 07 2015 :
Keishamthong constituency MLA Laishom Ibomcha has said the State Chief Minister should not be consulted now by the Centre on the peace accord already signed between the Government of India and NSCN (IM) .
The lone NCP MLA in a statement on Friday said Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has already assured the State BJP that the peace accord will not have an effect on territorial integrity of Manipur, apart from the assurance given by Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju that the accord would not harm the interests of the neighbouring States of Nagaland.
He urged Chief Minister O Ibobi to press for ILPS implementation to the Centre and keep distance himself from the Naga peace process.
He claimed that the NSCN (IM) might have demanded the Centre to extend the Article 371 A Provision of the Indian Constitution in all Naga-dominated areas in the country, to increase the present 20 Assembly seats of the hill district by 30 and to implement the Sixth Schedule in all the District Councils, Tirap and Changlang districts of Arunach al Pradesh.
