Agniveer recruitment rally begins, training conducted

Indian Army has launched the second phase of Agniveer Recruitment which began from June in several parts of the country.
In a release, PRO Defence informed that the first phase including online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) from April 22 to May 3 with result of successful candidates uploaded on the 'Join Indian Army' website in June and relevant information shared individually vide their respective emails; along with directing the shortlisted candidates to download admit cards for the second phase using their login credentials.
The PRO said that in the second phase, Army Recruiting Office (ARO), Rangapahar, Nagaland will conduct recruitment rallies for shortlisted candidates from Manipur at Sanii Dahrii Sports Complex Karong, Senapati (August 28 to 30), Koirengei Old Airfield, Imphal East (September 3 to 5) and Peace Ground, Churachandpur (September 9 to 11) .
The shortlisted candidates will be tested on 1.6 km run and basic physical fitness tests in addition to physical measurements during the screening at the rally site.
The release advised the shortlisted candidates who have yet not received their admit cards to approach ARO, Rangapahar on email ID - [email protected] and mobile number - 7628023484.Meanwhile, Assam Rifles organised a pre-recruitment training for Agniveer and CAPF recruitment for local youths of Ukhrul and Kamjong _ districts at Shangshak village.
In all, 15 aspirants attended Phase I of the training and additional 25 individuals trained by the Shangshak Battalion Assam Rifles in the Phase II.
In the third phase, another 14 local youths will be trained by the battalion.
The attendees of pre-recruitment training capsule will be provided with free study materials, meals and accommodation during the course of the training capsule, which is designed to give equal weightage to both academic and physical training.
Sixteen local youths, who were trained during the previous training capsules, have already registered for various competitive exams in Central Armed Police Forces and Indian Armed Forces, said PRO IGAR (S) in a press release.
