'Coming of Manipur University in 1980' prog organised

Imphal, June 05 2022: A programme named, "Coming of Manipur University in 1980", was organised by Formation of Manipur University Welfare Organisation (MUWO) at Manipur Press Club here on Sunday.

In his speech, MUWO convenor L Upendro Sharma said that the programme was organised with the aim of informing the masses how Manipur University came into being.

With the passage of time and the support of people, MU is now a central university, he stated, while wishing that the varsity becomes globally renowned.

The programme was also attended by retired principal DM College (commerce) Dr AK Chishti, retired lecturers (SG) GP Women's College RK Manisana Singh and Dr WIbohal Singh and retired lecturer (SG) DM College (Arts) K Chandradhan Singh as presidium members.
