Medicare provided to the flood victims

Manipur Health Department is working in full swing to provide adequate medical facilities in the flood affected areas of Thoubal, Chandel and Bishnupur districts, said Health Director Okram Ibomcha.
On Tuesday, staff and officials of Manipur Health Department led by its Director Okram Ibomcha conducted field assessment in a number of Community Health Centres, Primary Sub Centres and relief camps of flood affected areas.
Ibomcha said that officials are working in full swing to provide medicare to the people of the flood affected areas in the state.
He said over 20 health camps are conducting every day in the relief camps and medicines are also providing free of cost.
Adequate medicines were provided in all the health centres today, Ibomcha said.
He further said so far no epidemic of any disease has been reported in the affected areas but some people were found suffering from water borne diseases like diarrhea and skin diseases.
He further said the health camp will continue until the situation is normalized in the areas.
The teams also inspected the infrastructure and man power in the Kha Thinungei Moirang PHSC, Kumbi PHC, Sagang PHC and Chiren PHC.
Meanwhile, the team also conducted health check-ups at relief camps in Borayangbi Chiren Leingangtabi, Kumbi Chairen Mangjil residential school building, Chadongpokpi and Wangoo areas.
