Fortnight Barrier Free campaign ends

The 17th Fortnight Barrier Free Campaign 2024 organised by Handicap Development Foundation, Imphal in collaboration with Share and Care, Ningthem Pukhri Mapal and Lions Club of Imphal Excellence on the theme "Equal Access Equal Opportunity", culminated at Dr Kamal Hall of Department of Psychiatry, RIMS on Thursday.
The valedictory function was attended by Department of Psychiatry head Dr S Gojendra as chief guest and Foundation chairman Dr Sapam Jasobanta as president, while Indian Psychiatric Society East Zone president Dr Rk Lenin, RIMS Department of PMR professor Dr N Romi and Clinical Psychology assistant professor Pampak Khumukcham were the guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Lenin informed that the campaign was organised to make offices and other places accessible for the differently-abled persons.
Stating that Indian Psychiatric Society East Zone has been donating/providing equipment needed by differently-abled persons on a daily basis, he urged all to extend support to the differently-abled persons, while appreciating all those who attended the essay competition organised in connection with the campaign.
As part of the function, Santhangbao New-mai, who cracked the UGC-JRF exam was presented with certificate of appreciation.
