Chandel, June 30 2015 : All Tribal Chiefs & People Grievances Forum (ATC & PGF), Chandel District executive council for the tenure 2010-2015 has been dissolved on 26 June.

However, the present existing office bearers have been entrusted to look after the affairs of the forum till July 24 when an election of new office bearers would be conducted at MACA hall at 10:30 am in the morning.

The decision was taken during a forum's meeting held at Thangkam Village in Chandel district on June 26 with 25 members present in the meeting.

The chiefs, according to the press note, discussed the matter of transferring of land records of Chandel district which is still kept in Thoubal DC office.

The press note also expressed shocked over the alleged irregularity of Executive Engineer of Power department in attending office for long time.

A resolution to initiate strong action including sealing of the electricity department and transfer of EE in case the erring EE failed to turn up for office by first week of July, was adopted in the meeting stated the press release.
