ANSAM assembly confers on Indo-Naga talk, illegal immigration

All Naga Students' Association Manipur (ANSAM) held its 3rd and final legislative assembly for the 2022-24 tenure on Thursday at Chandel Christian Village community hall with Anal Lenruwl Tangpi-General Headquarter (ALT-GHQ), as the hosts.
The assembly participated by over 100 delegates representing student bodies of various Naga tribes of Manipur under ANSAM, figured discussions on illegal immigrants and Indo-Naga political issue among others.
Addressing the gathering ALT president Bd Ningwar Anal emphasised the importance of unity among Nagas, and urged the students to play pivotal roles in shaping the future of 'Nagalim' .
"The Nagas are at a critical point in time where students need to play a major role in shaping our Nagalim, Assemblies such as this, with agendas on illegal immigrants and Indo-Naga political issues, will enlighten us and shape our future," Ningwar stated.
ANSAM president M Luikang Luckson hoisted the association's flag for the assembly and delivered a presidential speech reiterating the call for unity among the Nagas during these crucial times.
Earlier in the day, the ANSAM president also unveiled a monolith dedicated to the Nagas and the assembly.
The monolith was blessed by Kanankhu Baptist Church pastor Onesima while chief of Chandel Christian Village L Rockson delivered the monumental speech.
