Social worker constructs Langathel bridge

Thoubal, December 27 2024: The RCC Bridge constructed over the Langathel Turel (river) at Langathel Mayai Leikai under Wangjing assembly constituency by social worker Ksh Priyobata from Kairembikhok was inaugurated and handed over to the public on Friday.

Speaking to reporters on the occasion, Priyobata noted importance of the bridge for the local community.

However, as condition of the old wooden bridge deteriorated, locals approached him for repairing.

After surveying the site and finding the bridge in a dire condition, Priyobata said he decided to replace it with an RCC bridge to avoid frequent repairing that wooden structures generally require.

Meanwhile, Ibudhou Pakhangba Lai committee member H Rajen expressed gratitude to the social worker for constructing the bridge for the welfare of the people of Langathel Mayai Leikai.
