Imphal, May 26 2018: A joint team of Imphal East district police and Narcotic Cell arrested a person along with 284 number of Spasmo Proxyvon from near JNIMS crossing at around noon of May 23, under Porompat PS .

According to a reliable source, acting on specific information about the presence of some drug users and peddlers in and around JNIMS crossing, a joint team of Imphal East district police and Narcotic Cell rushed to the spot and carried out frisking and checking.

An individual was detained on suspicion and while checking his belongings, 284 Spasmo Proxyvon capsules were recovered by the police at around noon.

During preliminary interrogation, the individual was identified as Md Feroz Khan (35) s/o Md Arfat of Khabeisoi, near 7th Manipur Rifles complex.

Feroz was arrested on the spot along with the seizure of drugs recovered from his possession by observing necessary formalities and handed over to Porompat PS for taking necessary legal action under ND&PS Act.
