Ukhrul sees highest spike of 36 cases

Ukhrul, May 24 2021:
Ukhrul district on Monday recorded its highest single day spike of 36 new Covid-19 positive cases, taking the tally of active cases to 112 .
According to a source from DSO, a total of fresh 36 positive cases were detected in different parts of the district on Monday.
The source, however, did not disclose the details of the locations.
Subsequently, the district's tally of active cases has jumped to 112 following the new detections, even as three patients were discharged on Monday.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the district stands at 313, out of which 181 are males and 132 females, it said.
So far, nine people from the district have died due to the infectious disease, while nine patients have been referred out of the district hospital.
Amongst the active cases, 60 patients are being kept at Transit CCC, Phungreitang, 19 at UDH Isolation Ward, 23 at Jessami Community Isolation Centre, four at Lambui CIC, three each at Tongou CIC and Shangkai CIC.
