Assam Rifles organises ESM rally at Somsai

Imphal, March 23 2025: Assam Rifles organised an Ex-Servicemen (ESM) Rally at Somsai Garrison in Ukhrul district on Saturday, bringing together Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris, widows, and their dependents.

The event was aimed at engaging with veterans and their families, understanding their concerns, and addressing the issues they face.

Attendees were also briefed about various government welfare schemes designed to support their well-being, according to a statement issued by PRO IGAR (S), adding that around 90 individuals, including Veer Naris, widows, veterans, and their dependents, attended the event.

Highlights included the felicitation of 'Veer Naris' in recognition of their sacrifices and the distribution of home and kitchen appliances to the families.

Various counters and cells, including a medical and dental camp, CSD counter, pension cell, ECHS and polyclinic, grievance cell, and SBI counter, were set up to address concerns of the attendees, it informed.
