Imphal, December 22 2021:
Stating that he feels ashamed on seeing the condition of Lamlai assembly constituency, intending candidate of RPI-A in Lamlai assembly constituency Mongjam Poireihanba has called for public support to the party and its candidates in the 2022 state assembly election.
Laying foundation stone for Nongpok Heirok Youth Club (NHYC) building, which he will construct, Poireihanba said that he will complete the club building within 10 days and hand it over to the local people of Nongpok Heirok.
Past MLAs of the constituency only focus on their strongholds while ignoring the other areas where they have much vote share.
As a result of such biased attitude, Lamlai remains as one of the most backward constituencies for long.
Elected representatives should learn to see all the people of their constituencies as their own in order to bring equitable development, he said.
The intending candidate also accused past MLAs of the constituency of being corrupt and selfish, and misappropriating public fund for accumulating personal wealth.
It is time for the public to teach such leaders the right lesson, he said while urging all to support him in the 2022 election.
He also emphasised on the importance of empowering youth clubs and making them capable of monitoring development works taken up in their respective areas.
