Speaker donates books to AMWJU centre

Imphal, July 21 2024: Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Thokchom Satyabrata handed over books to All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) president Bijoy Kakchingtabam for the Media Resource Centre of Manipur Press Club.

The books handed over to an AMWJU team at the Speaker's Brahmapur Bheigyabati Leikai residence on Sunday was follow up of the scribe body's earlier request for provision of books and important documents from the Assembly Secretariat for the Media Resource Centre inaugurated by Governor Anusuiya Uikey on January 6 this year.

According to AMWJU president Bijoy Kakchingtabam, the Media Resource Centre was established to help journalists and students from outside the state better understand Manipur in case of their interest in carrying out researches.

He also thanked the Speaker for the donation.
