Oinam MLA scans space for work shed at relief camp

Bishnupur, July 17 2024: Oinam AC MLA Irengbam Nalini Devi along with Keinou Zilla Parishad member K Samananda on Wednesday assessed site/area suitable for establishing a work shed within the relief camp premises set up at Leimaram High School.

The MLA first visited the relief camp and checked the space where work shed for keeping looms could be constructed and also handed over CI sheets for the proposed facility.

Moreover, along with purchasing Kouna bags and clothes produced by the residents, she also provided monetary assistance for procuring raw materials for making Kouna products.

The MLA also assured resettlement of the relief camp residents to their respective homes by arranging adequate security measures after consulting with the chief minister.

Later, the MLA met top officials of 33 Assam Rifles and 127th Battalion CRPF at Leimaram Waroiching to take up firm measures for safeguarding life and properties of people settling at the foothills in Oinam AC.

On their part, the security officials said that they have been conducting routine patrolling in the area for preventing unwanted incidents.
