Thoubal, February 17 2025: Meira Paibi activists organised protest demonstrations at Langathel and Langthabal Khunou in Thoubal district on Monday, demanding an immediate resolution to the ongoing crisisin the state, formation of a new government and withdrawal of the President's Rule, in public interest.

Speaking at the protest organised by Apunba Meira Paibi, Langathel and Langthabal Khunou Apunba Meira Paibi, Langathel Meira Paibi leader Sagolsem Sakuntala and Langthabal Khunou Apunba Meira Paibi secretary Binita called for an end to the ongoing power struggle amid the challenging situation gripping the state.

"Instead of vying for power and high positions, all concerned parties should focus on resolving the current crisis as soon as possible and forming a new government in the state," they stressed, while also demanding the withdrawal of the President's Rule, which was imposed due to the political crisis.

The meira paibi activists also called for cessation of security forces' operation to arrest village volunteers.
