CRPF distributes sewing machines

Imphal, November 16 2021:
The 143 Battalion of CRPF conducted a Civic Action Programme at the Mini Secretariat in Tamenglong HQ on Tuesday.
During the programme, sewing machines were distributed to underprivileged rural women of Farmland and Kachunglung villages to help them in generating their own income and become self-reliant.
The sewing machines were distributed by 143 Bn Commandant Lamkhokam Lhoujem, who attended as chief guest, in the presence of Second-in-Command K Sonny Singh, inspector Th Bimol Singh, Farmland chairman T P Dinkam, and Kachunglung village chairman Tongamang Gangmei along with other dignitaries and villagers, etc.
In his speech, Lamkhokam Lhoujem expressed his elation on getting the opportunity to fulfil the long standing need of the villagers.
He stated that the unit will continue to serve the people of Manipur by carrying out such humanitarian activities.
The Commandant further stated the Battalion has been trying to address the needs and requirements of the locals through its Civic Action Programme.
