Director treasures success of 2nd EIIFF

Imphal, February 16 2025: The 2nd Eikhoigi Imphal International Film Festival (EIIFF) 2025 festival director and filmmaker Sanzu Bachaspatimayum has stated that though Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) and Manipur State Film and Television Institute (MSFTI) organised the festival for second time only, it was successfully held at par with other film festivals organised across the world.

Speaking at the debriefing prografnme of the 2nd EIIFF 2025 held at MSFDS in the presence of art & culture commissioner M Joy on Sunday, Sanzu thanked all the contributors and volunteers for ensuring successful conduct of the festival.

He rioted that the festival, though focused on international films, provided a platform for conduct of panel discussions on Manipuri cinema's journey, and support the local artistes and revive cinema halls in the state.

Noting that people of the state showed enthusiasm for the festival, Sanzu urged the public to continue the same support in the next edition of the festival.

During the programme, various contributors of the festival were felicitated with presentation of certificates while a discussion was held on the award winning films of the festival.

The festival Was held from February 6 to 9 with 52 films including international award winning films screened at four theatres.
