Governor visits injured soldiers

Imphal, November 15 2021: Governor La Ganesan on Monday visited the soldiers who were injured in the November 13 ambush.

The injured soldiers are undergoing treatment at Shija Hospitals, Langol and Assam Rifles Multispecialty Hospital of Head Quarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), Mantripukhri.

Governor La Ganesan also interacted with the injured, enquired about their health condition, gave presents and wished them quick recovery.

Presently, four injured AR personnel are undergoing treatment at General Male Medicine Ward and one at ICU of Shija Hospitals while the fourth is at AR Multi-specialty Hospital of IGAR (South) .

Mention can be made here that the ambush took place around 10 am on November 13 at a place in Singhat sub-division of Churachandpur district.

46 Assam Rifles commanding officer, his wife, son and four personnel from Quick Reaction Team (QRT) were killed in the attack.
