World Day against Child Labour observed

Imphal, June 12 2021:
District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Senapati under the aegis of Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) observed the World Day Against Child Labour at two children homes in Kanglatongbi and Senapati on Saturday.
As part of the observance, Additional PP District and Sessions Court (Senapati) Koshia Mao spoke on the topic of "Act Now: End Child Labour", while elaborating about the children's right to education along with other entitlements.
The observance was attended by DLSA chairman Samom Ibjen, secretary Asem Tarunkumar, retainer lawyer S Marisia and front office staffers.
Meanwhile, DLSA Imphal West organised a webinar on the topic of "Act Now: End Child Labour", in connection with the observance of World Day Against Child Labour on Saturday.
During the webinar, which was attended by panel advocates, PLVs and leaders of CSOs; Sessions Judge Imphal West cum DLSA Imphal West chairperson A Guneshwar Sharma delivered the keynote address.
CJM Imphal West and secretary DLSA Imphal West Y Somorjit shared their respective opinions.
The speakers also deliberated on the child labour conditions in the state along with child trafficking issues.
Later, an interaction with the panelists was facilitated.
