RIMS director enquires condition of injured BSF troopers

Imphal, March 12 2025:
Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal director Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma, on Wednesday visited RIMS hospital and interacted with the injured Border Security Forced (BSF) personnel who were admitted following a road accident in Kangpokpi district.
A release issued by RIMS media cell reminded that the accident, which occurred on March 11 near Changoubung village, involved a vehicle carrying 16 BSF personnel that plunged into a deep gorge, resulting in the unfortunate loss of lives of three jawans and multiple injuries.
Among the injured, two personnel remain in serious condition, while two have been discharged after receiving medical care.
The director personally inquired about the well-being of the injured personnel and assured them of the best possible medical treatment.
He commended the dedication of RIMS medical team for their swift response in providing critical care to the injured soldiers.
"Our medical team is doing everything possible to ensure the best treatment for the injured personnel.
RIMS stands committed to serving those who dedicate their lives to the nation's security," he stated.
