Imphal, February 12 2022:
Group of Aspirants has hailed the Friday ruling of the Supreme Court directing the Manipur Public Service Commission to conduct the main examination of Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive (Main) Examination, 2016 afresh within four months.
Addressing a press meet at Lamphel here on Saturday, the Group's Kishan Keisham recalled that after the examination was conducted in 2016, the result was declared 10 days later.
At that time, citing irregularities in the examination process, a case was filed in the court.
As the case progressed in the court, the candidates who were given job appointments were also removed from their posts.
However, a concrete judgement was never given.
On Friday, the apex court ruled in favour of the truth, he said and expressed his elation over the judgement given for conduct of the examination within four months.
Socio-political commentator Ch Bijoy, who also attended the press meet, stated that the Supreme Court's decision has proved that truth always prevails.
Among the candidates who were selected at that time, there were many who were sincere and honest but were affected by the whole thing.
People are aware of the inconveniences faced by the Group of Aspirants while fighting the case, he recounted, while remarking that the state government also wasted a lot of time by filing a case against the original case when it was about to be disposed.
