Restrictions on Waqf Board relaxed

Thoubal, January 12 2022: In connection with the restriction imposed on Waqf Board, Manipur over the notification for recruitment of some posts under SPQM scheme, All Manipur Muslim Development Committee (AMMDC) has announced that the strictures against the board has been relaxed for some time in view of the election code of conduct.

Speaking to media persons at AMMDC HQ office here on Wednesday, AMMDC vice president Abbas Khan informed that the relaxation of the restriction was decided after minute discussion of the issue with AMMDC HQ advisory and managing committees as the ongoing protest could not be sustained due to enforcement of the model code of conduct for the upcoming state assembly election.

He urged authorities concerned not to create confusion among the candidates regarding the recruitment process and not to politicise the same.

Abbas further urged not to mislead AMMDC through media and social media but instead make effort for find ing an amicable solution.
