Passing away of ex-MLA, FoH leader condoled

Manipur Ex-MLA Welfare Association has condoled the passing of ex-MLA Thangminlen Kipgen, who died on December 10, 2024, at the age of 71.In a condolence message signed by its president BD Behring, the association said: "With the untimely demise of Thangminlen Kipgen, we have lost a wonderful friend, a humanist and a dedicated politician.
His absence leaves an irreplaceable void" .
The Ex-MLA body extended its heartfelt condolences to his family.
Thangminlen was elected for four consecutive terms (1995, 2000, 2002 & 2007) from the Kangpokpi assembly constituency and also served as a cabinet minister and chairman of the Hill Areas Committee.
He is survived by two daughters, a daughter-in-law, and two grandsons.
Meanwhile, Federation of Haomee (FoH) condoled the untimely demise of its former working president Ramthing Hungyo, who passed away on, Wednesday morning.
The Federation functionaries and members observed a two-minute silence at its head office as a mark of respect to the departed soul and shared the grief of the family members, informed Federation president Sapamcha Jadumani in a statement on Wednesday.
According to Jadumani, Ramthing Hungyo, who was also the former president of Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL), took an important role in the Federation's struggles to unite and promote the integrity of "Yek Salai" .
"During his tenure as the president, he took great initiatives to introduce the Federation by travelling every nook and cranny of the valley as well as the hills," Jadumani added.
