Training on hospitality management begins

A two-month hospitality management training commenced at DRDA Hall, Senapati on Tuesday.
The training organised by Department of Tourism, Manipur under the "Hunar se Rozgar" scheme is undertaken by Delhi-based institute as the master trainer.
The training programme covers hotel management, restaurant operations, and airport services, providing both theoretical knowledge and practical classes.
Modules include table management, balancing technique of items/orders, menu management, cocktails & drinks (non-alcoholic), and both Western and Indian crockery.
Other topics such as table etiquette, banquet layouts, soft skills, and computer skills are also included.
Speaking to the media at the venue, Ranjeet Kumar, who is food & beverage service trainer from Primero Skill Training Centre, Delhi, informed that the ongoing training spans two months, incorporating theory and practical classes.
Around 20-25 youths from different parts of Senapati district are participating in this training initiative.
Upon completion, all participants will receive certificates, enhancing their job prospects within the hospitality industry based on their acquired skills, he added.
Meanwhile, the district administration encouraged more youths from Senapati district to seize the opportunity and enrol in the ongoing training, which will run until November.
