Imphal, September 07 2024:
There is no reason for the continuation of the namesake state assembly and the state administration whose instinct and powers have all been removed by the Government of India, stated Khwairamband Nupi Keithel Sinpham Amadi Saktam Kanba Lup president Ksh Shanti and demanded resignation of all the ministers and MLAs.
Shanti also asked all the Central forces deployed in Manipur to withdraw immediately and leave to the people the responsibility of defending the state from the aggression of Kuki militants.
Addressing a press conference at Manipur Press Club, here, on Friday, Ksh Shanti said that the SoO militants along with immigrant Kuki narco-terrorists have been attacking innocent Meetei people for nearly one and half year now but the Government of India remains as mute spectator father than ending the war.
In the sudden drone bombing by Kuki narco-terrorists in Routruk, Kadangband, Senjam Chirang, Sekmai and Sinam on September 1, one young woman was killed and more than 10 including daughter of the deceased woman were injured.
Kuki narco-terrorists also torched several houses on that day but more than 60,000 Central forces deployed in the state took no action.
Rather they remained as mute spectators.
This indicates that Central forces deployed in the state are not to protect lives and properties of the people but to protect Kuki terrorists, she said and demanded immediate withdrawal of Central forces being deployed in the state to suppress indigenous people and devastate the society.
For nearly one and half year, the Centre has snatched all the powers from the state without removing the chief minister and restricted the state forces to act whenever Kuki terrorists launched attacks and this indeed is a policy to uproot Meetei community.
Due to Government of India's long partisan and sectarian policy, it is inevitable for the people of Manipur to arrive at the decision to separate from India.
Both the administrations in the state and the Centre are same and accordingly all the ministers and MLAs must take a collective decision to resign if the Centre fails to take action against the Kuki terrorists, she said and asked all the ministers and MLAs to publicly announce the decision.
