Imphal, April 07 2015 : Advocate Khaidem Mani, counsel for MLA Karam Shyam has said that the move of a BJP member who submitted a petition to the Assembly Secretary seeking to take up breach of privilege against him was unreasonable.

Speaking to media persons at Cheirap Court Complex yesterday, Khaidem Mani said that the alleged attempt to petition the Bar Council of India to demand cancellation of his advocate license is not the right step.

BJP member should apologise within five days for making an unjustifiable move and trying to create an issue out of nothing, he demanded.

Khaidem Mani said, "As an Advocate, I have fair knowledge about unparliamentary language and I have always abide by its rules.

To term my exemplary statement as unparliamentary is unfortunate.

However, I will face the charges against me legally" .
