NPO pledges support to JAC on AH1

Senapati, December 06 2024: SENAPATI: The Naga People's Organization (NPO), Senapati, has pledged support to the statement issued by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) against the diversion of the Trans Asian Highway 1 (AH1) route from Tumuyon Khullen to Tumnoupokpi.

A press release issued by NPO Information & Publicity on Friday, highlighted the JAC's earlier concerns over the continued inaction and lack of response from the relevant authorities regarding the AH1 construction.

Despite the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the JAC and the deputy commissioner, the NPO raised questions about the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited's (NHIDCL)'s failure to initiate the construction process.
