Thoubal, November 06 2024: Thoubal DC Ahanthem Subash has declared that threshing of paddy on the road, as well as tractors spilling excavated earth from the paddy fields, will be prosecuted under the law.

A prohibitory order in this regard has also been issued by the competent authority.

Addressing media persons at his office on Wednesday, DC Subash cautioned that the stacking of harvested paddy on the road and tractors muddying the roads with excavated earth pose serious risk to motorists and pedestrians alike.

As such, the district administration issued prohibitory order for safety of the public, he reasoned.

Advising all concerned to abide with the order, he reiterated that legal action will be initiated in case of defying the prohibition.

All panchayat representatives and police have been informed to take necessary measures, disclosed the DC .
