DESAM seeks immediate response

Imphal, May 06 2015 : Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) appeals for an immediate response regarding lack of teachers in Ithai High School.

It may be mentioned that, Education (S) Department had already appointed six teachers at the Ithai High School however none has reported till date.

The school Head Master, School Management Committee (SMC), Clubs and Organizations have made numerous appeals regarding the issue.

However no response has arrived till date.

According to a press release issued by DESAM Publicity & Propaganda Secretary, Premchand Tongbram, the education department had appointed the said six teachers on March 19 and April 7 however none has reported to the school till date.

Hence helpless parents and residents of the area have put up money and arranged guest teachers for the students.

Considering the people's helplessness and students' desperation to learn DESAM seeks an immediate action against the irresponsible teachers and filling up the required number of teachers in the school.

DESAM further has questioned the huge margin of lack of teachers, when various recruitments were made under SSA, RMSA and Department of Education (S) .
