Imphal, December 05 2021:
BJP intending candidate in Khundrakpam assembly constituency for the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election Irom Mangiton accused Khundrakpam BJP Mandal president of giving one-sided treatment to intending candidates of the party for the upcoming election.
BJP intending candidates of the constituency namely Irom Mangiton, Dr Kshetrimayum Kala and Keithellakpam Ronen held a press conference in this regard at Manipur Press Club here on Sunday during which Mangiton said that all intending candidates of BJP in Khundrakpam AC think as one and party's state president gives equal treatment and loves all the intending candidates.
However, it was very unfortunate that BJP Khundrakpam Mandal president Moirangthem Debarata ill-treated the intending candidates on his own observation.
Irom Mangiton said that invitation card for the political conference held at Khundrakpam Chingkhu High School on December 3 was given to him and Dr Kshetrimayum Kala only in the evening of December 2 while the same invitation card was given to Keithellakpam Ronen at 1pm on December 3 while the political conference was in progress.
As such, it was unreasonable to,stage protest in front of BJP state office at Nityaipat Chuthek on Saturday against non-participation of president A Sharda in the political conference, Irom Mangiton said, adding that the protest by some people was an attempt to tarnish image of A Sharda, who has been working day and night for the party.
