Joykisan sets Jun 12 deadline to identify ghost contractor

Imphal, June 05 2022: Thangmeiband MLA Th Joykisan has warned of launching intense agitation in coordination with Thangmeiband Kendra Development Organisation (TAKDO) from June 13 if the state government and Imphal Municipal Corporation (IMC) fail to reveal the identify GG Rongmei within June 12.Joykisan had earlier alleged that GG Rongmei, who is said to be from Langol Tarung, siphoned off huge amount of fund from IMC but village authority had clarified that GG Rongmei, who reportedly executed the contract Works, is unknown to the village and there is no one by that name in the village.

Addressing media persons on Saturday evening at his Thangmeiband Khoyathong residence, MLA Joykisan said that there is clear evidence of awarding contract work to GG Rongmei by IMC executive officer and documents in this regard are also in his possession.

Non-existence of a person named GG Rongmei is also getting clearer day by day as Langol Tarung village authority had clarified about non existence of the person in the village when sought for the same.

However, IMC must have known the person as there is clear evidence of awarding contract work to GG Rongmei, he said and asked IMC and government to identify the person within June 12 .
