Senapati, February 05 2025:
Senapati Karong Area Baptist Union (SKABU) secretary Rev RS Abraham emphasised that "wisdom comes from fear of God and knowledge comes from studying" in his address at the annual fasting and prayer programme for HSLC candidates, organised by SKABU at TNK Baptist Church, Senapati, on Wednesday.
Addressing the gathering, Rev Abraham highlighted that education is the longest and most enduring form of training in life, unlike other forms of training that conclude within a short period.
Pointing out that those who excel in education are more likely to lead a fulfilling life, he also noted that while some individuals begin well but end poorly, others may have an unfavourable start yet achieve a successful outcome.

Drawing an analogy, Rev Abraham likened young students to eggs - once broken, they cannot be restored to their original state, and cautioned students against losing their way after matriculation but to plan their future carefully to ensure a positive outcome.
Meanwhile, Rev S Shele, speaking on the theme "Let Your Parents Be Glad," pointed out that nothing brings greater joy to parents than seeing their children walk in truth.
He encouraged students to strive to make their parents proud, underscoring the importance of obedience in a student's life.
Acknowledging that they are no longer children, he advised them to resist negative influences and remain focused on their aspirations for a bright future.
Rev S Dapunii delivered a sermon on "The Impact of Choice," while Pastor BK Thomas spoke on "Pressing Towards the Mark for the Prize." Rev Paul Inpui, vice-president SKABU, led a special prayer session for the HSLC candidates.
The programme saw the participation of around 300 students from various schools in and around Senapati and Karong, along with their parents and guardians.
