MSFDS selects four for 55th IFFI in Goa

Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) has selected four representatives to avail financial support to attend the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, slated from November 20 to 28 .
The film festival, which is Asia's largest, is organised annually by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
According to a statement of MSDFS, the selected delegates are Shanti Raj (film technician), Thotreisho Keishing (film actor and music director), Dr A Bishwajit Sharma (journalist), and Ajit Yumnam (filmmaker) .
Dr Bishwajit will cover the festival and film bazaar for providing insights into the event's impact on cinema and media.
The other three delegates were chosen by the MSFDS Selection Committee in recognition of their commitment to the film industry and will engage in specialised activities aimed at exploring global cinema trends, as well as film marketing and finance.
To facilitate their participation, MSFDS has allocated Rs 1,10,000 from its grant-in-aid fund for promotional activities.
The annual support from MSFDS is part of the continuous effort to foster growth in the local film industry by providing exposure to international cinema.
Through such initiatives, MSFDS upholds its commitment to advancing the him arts community, promoting media development, and enhancing the visibility of Manipuri cinema on a global stage, the statement added.
