Fertilisers distribute to Kangpokpi farmers

Kangpokpi, July 01 2022: Kangpokpi MLA Nemcha Kipgen, who is also the minister of Textiles, Commerce & Industry distributed fertilisers at subsidised rate to farmers of her constituency at Ngah mun village on Friday and encouraged them to strive for increasing agricultural yield to achieve the goal of a self-reliant state.

She said that the fertilisers would be given only to the deserving farmers and cautioned of taking stringent action against any farmers found misusing the fertilisers for poppy cultivation.

The minister told the farmers to report anyone selling fertilisers in the black market in Kangpokpi AC and also warned that benefiting action would be taken if any official or staff was found involved in selling fertilisers in black market.

Farmers from various communities in the constituency expressed heartfelt gratitude to the local MLA for the timely distribution of the fertilisers as the cultivation season has arrived.

One of the beneficiary farmers said that it would help him save his paddy from diseases and harvest a higher yield than ever before.

Another woman farmer said that the local MLA indeed followed Prime Minister Modi's mantra "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas'' practically for the inclusive growth of her people, especially the farmer community.

"Many farmers could not afford to buy fertilisers and I am really thankful to the minister for distributing the fertilisers at subsidised rates", said another farmer.
