TYCM visits Takyel Home

Tribal Youth Council, Manipur (TYCM) has visited at Takyel Observation Home to look into the welfare of the recently rescued children brought home from Grace Children home, Bangaluru which is run by one Shigamani Samuel.
Most of the children are in the age group of 5 years to 15 years; and they included 3 girls and 11 boys from Senapati district all belongs to Maram tribe, 8 boys and 3 girls from Ukhrul, 6 boys and 5 girls from Churachanpur district and 4 boys and 1 girl from Marang Mangtak who belong to Kom tribe.
TYCM apprised the matter before the concerned Minister AK Mirabai, who is in charge of Social Welfare, while interacting with her at Takyel on 29th Nov.
2013 and appealed to view the matter seriously and initiate necessary actions to prevent recurrence of trafficking children on the pretext of providing better education.
TYCM also appealed for up gradation of Takyel Children observation home and establishment of Children Rehabilitation home in every district of Manipur to ensure proper rehabilitation of the rescued children.
