Heirok JAC implores Govt on murder

Imphal, June 30 2015 : JAC which was formed against the brutal murder of a woman of Heirok has urged the state govt.to translate all the promises into action.

Convener of the JAC against the brutal killing of the woman in a press note has stated that following the murder the JAC submitted a six point memorandum to the CM.

CM O Ibobi and MLA of Heirok Constituency, Minister M Okendro met with the members of JAC and assured them to fulfill most of their demands.

Moreover govt.assured to complete the preparation of charge sheet within one month and passing of Criminal Law Amendment Bill in the ongoing Manipur Legislative Assembly session.

The JAC organized a mass meeting with civil society organizations like AMUCO, UCM, NIPCO, MAPI COUNCIL, COHR, WAD, Women Governance Wing Manipur, MSCR, Poirei Leimarol Apunba Meira Paibi Lup, Human Rights Law Network, All Manipur Women Voluntary Association, Reformation and Development Samaj, AMKIL, EECHAM which were attended by various member of club organizations on June 23 at Mayai Leikai Ground of Heirok Part II and planned for further action if the govt.fails to its promises.
