Joykisan asks rivals to check facts before criticising

Imphal, December 29 2021: Thangmeiband MLA Khumukcham Joykisan inaugurated Ibudhou Moirangpokpa Shanglen located at Nagamapal Phougeisangbam Leikai here on Wednesday.

Speaking at the event, Joykisan affirmed that he believes in serving the public with sincerity and commitment.

Serving the public is like serving the God and the public will never accept corrupt and insincere politicians, he said.

The MLA further said that an intending candidate of the constituency made the local people to construct the community hall near the shrine while assuring of reimbursing the expenditure.

However, the intending candidate did not keep his word and as a result, the local people destroyed the nameplate.

Consequently, he reimbursed the expenditure following an.

agreement after which he inaugurated the community hall.

He had also constructed several community halls and club buildings in the constituency.

Recently, an intending candidate held a poll campaign meeting at Namthanlong community hall, which he (Joykisan) had constructed under MLA local area development fund.

Ironically, during the meeting, the intending candidate questioned about development works taken up by the MLA, Joykisan said while urging his rivals to gather proper reports of works he had done before criticising him.

He slammed intending candidates, who stayed behind the closed door during the Covid-19 pandemic, for coming out at the time of elections.

He further said that initiating poll campaign in advance is one of the main reasons behind the poll related violence.

Maintaining that he will always serve the people of the constituency and the state while staying at the forefront of social issues, he appealed to the public to support him in the 2022 state assembly election.
