ZYF reacts to physical attack on its president

Imphal, July 28 2014 : In connection with the attempted physical attack and derogatory remarks on its president Titus Kamei by one Ningtinglung @ Johny Gonmei on July 11 last, Zeliangrong Youth Front (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) held a meeting on July 25 last at its Head Office and resolved , among others, to apprise the Ministry of Home Affairs and the National Human Right Commission about the matter, to submit memorandum to State DGP requesting for lodging an FIR and to boycott the culprit socially.

According to a press statement of the Front, some persons had accompanied Ningtinglung during the incident and it has been realised that he is moving around with two-three gunmen.

Such situation has created an apprehension that any eventuality may happen to ZYF President and any other ZYF Executives, the release said.

Earlier, the ZYF served an intimation letter to Ningtinglung through ZYF Nungba Zone to tender apology for the misconduct committed against a social leader within 7(seven) days time beginning July 16, but Ningtinglung did not tender apology for the same.
