Minister Rajen assures assistance to Covid-19 hit families

Imphal, May 24 2021: Education & Fisheries minister S Rajen Singh has assured financial assistance to COVID-19 infected families settling in Lamsang Assembly Constituency (AC).

He said that the financial assistances to COVID-hit families including those admitted in hospitals will also be directly transferred to their respective Bank Accounts.

Speaking to media during an inspection visit to the COVID-19 infected localities, containment zones and families of Lamsang AC on Monday, Rajen cautioned that the second wave of COVID-19 should not be taken lightly and advised the public to be aware of the pandemic and strictly adhere to the SOPs.

While calling upon everyone to contribute his/ her mite in containing the pandemic, the minister specifically urged the local clubs and organisations to take pro-active involvement in the fight against the pandemic.

"We should keep ourselves healthy.

Anxiety and stress should be evaded during this pandemic," he added.

Rajen also distributed food items, medicines and oximeters to the infected families of Lamsang AC.

Any communication regarding COVID related assistance should be communicated to the COVID Consultative Committee, Lamsang AC, he advised.
