Imphal, June 23 2014: Red Shield Division extended its active and unflinching support to the ongoing Go Green Drive by inaugurating a tree plantation campaign at Churachandpur, according to a statement issued by PRO Defence Wing, Imphal.

In its series of ventures towards afforestation, th Red Shield Division has been active in planting trees in various locations.

The Red Shield Division had on earlier occasion undertaken similar drives wherein saplings of various ornamental, fruit bearing and medicinal trees were planted.

More than a thousand saplings have since been planted in various locations in Churachandpur.

These initiatives will go a long way in creating awareness amongst the populace to strive for a greener tomorrow, the PRO added.
