Joykisan ridicules election-centric candidates

Imphal, November 22 2021: It is highly embarrassing to see some people, who closed their doors and pretended not to see the suffering of the people during the Covid-19 pandemic, coming forward and expressing their ardent wish to serve the people by contesting the upcoming elections, remarked Thangmeiband AC MLA Joykisan.

On Monday, Guigailong Village Authority organised a function to felicitate the MLA for undertaking various works in the village, at Guigailong community hall.

Speaking on the occasion, Joykisan urged fellow candidates to compete on the selfless service rendered to the people.

During the pandemic, some pseudo-public figures from Thangmeiband AC did not provide even a drop of water to the patients staying at Covid Care Centres and Hospitals.

There are also some people who did not want to spend a rupee to repair the roads in the constituency.

Their identity is well known to the people.

Suddenly, such people are coming forward to contest the election and serve the people, which is highly embarrassing, he remarked.

Contending that he will continue to stand and sacrifice for the people of Thangmeiband as long as he lives, the MLA informed that a land plot has been purchased for the construction of community hall of Neikalong village.

He then appreciated the people for urging him to construct the hall after the polls.

In his speech, Guigailong Village Authority president R Gainingpou extended his appreciation to MLA Joykisan for taking up various developmental activities in the village, including construction of a spacious community hall and regular supply of potable water in the village.

As such, after a detailed discussion, the village has unanimously decided to extend support to Joykisan in the upcoming election, he conveyed.
